Peter Badejo is one of British Nigerian’s foremost choreographers, dancers, and African performance specialists. His commitment to African performing arts reflects extensive research at the University of London, and at UCLA where he completed his Master of Arts degree in Dance Ethnography.   Uncle P, as he is popularly known, made a dramatic impact on British arts. In 1990, he founded and served as Artistic Director of Badejo Arts where a good number of present African dancers and choreographers learnt their trade.  In 2001, he was awarded an OBE (Order of the British Empire) in recognition of his work and commitment to the development of African dance.
