Olu Alake

Olu Alake is the CEO of The Africa Centre, the iconic cultural centre that has for 60 years provided a home away from home for people of African descent. He previously held senior management positions in various organisations in the not-for-profit sector, including The Peel Institute, London Marathon Foundation, Buttle UK, Equality & Human Rights Commission and Arts Council England. His responsibilities in these roles have included business transformation, grants management, strategic leadership, and organisational development.

Olu is also a Trustee of The Reader Organisation and was Chair of the International Programme Advisory Committee for the 9th Global Summit of the International Federation of Arts Councils & Cultural Agencies (IFACCA). Olu is a founder member and President Emeritus of 100 Black Men of London and a Fellow of the Royal Society for the Arts (FRSA). He is also an alumnus of University of London, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife, Loyola College, Ibadan and Offa Grammar School.
