Anthony Ofoegbu is a self-taught creative who lives in London. As an actor he has worked nationally and globally, in Theatre, Dance, Television, Film, Radio, Audio and Dramatic Tutoring for more than 35 years. He co-founded Four’s Company Dance-Theatre Company and the 7th/12th Collective Film Production Company. He is currently Company Director of Crying In The Wilderness Productions Theatre Company. Anthony was invited to join the BBC Radio Drama Company (RDC) in 1997, voicing plays for BBC Radio 4, BBC African Radio and the World Service. He has recorded several distinguished novels for the Royal National Institute for the Blind (RNIB). He was nominated for Best Actor for My Children, My Africa at the Trafalgar Studios in 2015.
Anthony has worked with some of the most iconic theatre practitioners such as, Wole Soyinka, Nobel Laureate for Literature. He was a Royal Shakespeare Company actor from 2016-2018 and to date has performed in three major West End musicals and Scott Joplin’s operetta, Treemonisha. Anthony’s work has toured to West and South Africa, Europe, America, Canada, Australia and the UAE. Anthony’s other creative outlets include, painting, photography, interior design, carpentry, specialised Perspex furniture making and leather product design. As a commission, he designed and manufactured the annual Off West End Theatre Award trophies for London’s theatre circuit from 2010-13.
