Femi Okutubo is the Founder and Publisher of Trumpet Media Group, which was established in 1995 to promote the positive image of Africa and Africans. Femi is also the Founder of the Gathering of Africa’s Best (GAB) Awards. He is an innovator in UK’s ethnic media industry. Aside from his media endeavours, Femi is active within the Diaspora African community where he serves as a Motivational Speaker, Event Anchor, Master of Ceremony, Chorister and Community Leader. His contributions to the community have been recognised with numerous accolades including the Freedom of the City of London in 2017.
In this interview, Femi discusses his early childhood in the UK, going back to Nigeria to attend school and university, eventually returning to the UK to set up The Trumpet Media and GAB Awards.
