Lemar Okiba

Lemar Okiba, is a British-Nigerian singer, songwriter, record producer and actor, better known as Lemar. He rose to fame through the British talent show Fame Academy in 2002, winning third place. Thereafter he secured a £1 million record deal with Sony BMG. Lemar released five albums under this label. The first called Dedicated achieved double-platinum status in 2003 with the second Time to Grow, gaining the same double platinum success. His biggest single If There’s Any Justice was released on his second album and climbed to number ten in the UK Singles Charts. His third, The Truth About Love became Lemar’s highest grossing album, reaching number three in the UK Album Charts in 2006.

Lemar is regarded as one of the most successful artists to emerge from a reality TV show in the UK and Ireland, having sold more than two million albums. Lemar appeared in the 2023 TV-Series Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story in 2023 and has performed for the Princes’ Charles Trust in 2004.
