She is known as Little Simz but her real name is Simbiatu “Simbi” Abisola Abiola Ajikawo. She is a British-Nigerian rapper, singer and actress. Born in 1994 in Islington, London, Little Simz was raised on a council estate with two older sisters. Her mother was a foster carer. As a musician, Little Simz gained recognition for the release of three albums, A Curious Tale of Trials + Persons, Stillness in Wonderland, and Grey Area, which won the awards for Best Album at the Ivor Novello Awards and the NME Awards.
Her fourth album, Sometimes I Might Be Introvert, won the 2022 Mercury Prize and the Brit Award for Best New Artist as well as the Libera Award for Best Hip-Hop/Rap Record, all in the same year. Her fifth album, No Thank You, has received critical acclaim. As an actor, Little Simz’ credits include starring in the Netflix drama series Top Boy.
