Nabil Abdulrashid is a British-Nigerian comedian, born to Nigerian parents in London in 1985. Abdulrashid graduated with a BA in Drama and Applied theatre from St. Mary’s University College in 2012.
At the age of 25, Abdulrashid won the national competition and made history in 2010 by being the youngest black comic to perform stand-up at the Hammersmith Apollo. He was then selected to perform at the film’s premiere, The Infidel.
Abdulrashid has performed at Comedy Cafe, Comedy Store, Jongleurs and Choice FM Comedy Club. From 2009 to 2010, Abdulrashid wrote, acted and directed on The Show Sho Show, which aired on Channel AKA and written for Little Miss Jocelyn and 3 Non-Blondes.
Abdulrashid has toured with his religious comedy show Don’t Panic, I’m Islamic! In 2011, he visited four UK cities in the Peace Youth and Community Trust’s first Muslim Comedy Tour. In 2011, he toured with his Asia vs. Africa Comedy Clash show to 10 cities in the UK. In 2012, he delivered a programme using theatre to educate children in Malawi on HIV and delivers a workshop encouraging inner-city children to use comedy as a means of expression.
In 2016, he was featured in the BBC Two documentary Muslims Like Us.
Abdulrashid appeared on Britain’s Got Talent in 2020 and won a Golden Buzzer from the Alesha Dixon, finishing in fourth place in the final.
