Richard Olatunde Baker is born of British-Yoruba parentage and brought up in UK listening to African music. He began his musical life as a self-taught guitarist but was later trained by Yoruba master drummers in UK. He is an all-round African percussionist, instrument maker/supplier and teacher, as well as an accomplished studio engineer/producer. He has toured the world with many prominent bands and artists and has successfully fused the talking drum into many genres such as jazz, electronic and classical music.
