Ruky Euba developed a love for drama early in her childhood when she attended primary school in Lagos. Her passion continued right through to secondary school. After graduating in theatre arts from the University of Ibadan in 1988, Ruky sought roles on stage, television and in films in the early years of Nollywood. Ruky continued as a performer in the UK, working with Iroko Theatre Company, and in different cultural settings, and also as a teacher in nursery schools.
In this recording, Ruky recollects how her mother encouraged her to follow her dream, and how she enjoys educating younger generations in the UK about their African heritage.
